Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Completion of year 12 including Year 12 Maths
  • Have an IELTS academic score of 6 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands or equivalent (test must have been taken no more than 2 years prior to application).

    This qualification reflects the role of a technical specialist with high-level skills and knowledge to perform the following tasks:

    • Estimate costs, prepare documentation, and specifications for materials, and perform surveys
    • Craft drawings and designs for the construction and maintenance of projects
    • Assist civil engineers with programming work
    • Keep track of work progress and check project specifications, regulations, and provisions
    • Maintain proper communication with construction workers and project managers
    • Examine construction works, supervise and organize maintenance tasks
